Transparency Notice on Video Recordings with Camera Glasses
At this facility, video recordings are made using so-called camera glasses as part of a Data & You project. The glasses are worn by voluntarily participating persons and capture work processes from their first-person (point-of-view) perspective as video and audio recordings.
Purpose of the Recordings
The purpose of the recordings is the development, training, and improvement of algorithms as well as AI and machine-learning systems. In addition, the anonymized data may be used for process analyses, research purposes, and for demonstration and training purposes. No performance or behavioral monitoring of employees takes place. The employer neither commissions the recordings nor receives access to the footage or any analysis derived from it.
Personal Data and Anonymization
The recordings may capture personal data, such as a person’s appearance, voice, or other identifying characteristics. All recordings are subsequently anonymized. In particular, faces, license plates, and other identifying information are rendered unrecognizable. Raw footage is stored only for as long as necessary for anonymization. Once anonymization is complete, the raw data is deleted. After full anonymization, the data can no longer be linked to any person.
No Recordings of Sensitive Areas
Sensitive areas such as toilets, changing rooms, or break rooms are not filmed. Should recordings of third parties nevertheless occur unintentionally, they are rendered unrecognizable as part of the anonymization process. If you do not wish to be recorded, you can approach the person wearing the glasses directly or contact the contact point listed below.
Your Rights
Where a link to a person exists, affected persons have the right, under applicable data protection laws, to access, rectify, or delete their data, as well as the right to withdraw previously given consent with effect for the future. There is also the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority. These rights exist only as long as a link to a person exists.
